MORE SUCCESS AT THE DYKE
The Brighton & Hove Team of Phil Bonsall, Mike Davis, Peter Ward and Judy McKemey won the Dyke Rose Bowl on Wednesday 24th June. Their total of 13 under par was good enough to win by 3 shots from Worthing Golf Club. 20 Sussex teams were represented, so this was another great victory for Brighton & Hove.
DOUBLE SUCCESS FOR GARY DAW

B&H WIN IN DIEPPE
Brighton & Hove entered a team in the Sussex Professional Golf Union's overseas Pro-Am in Dieppe held from the 9th to the 12th June.
Professional Phil Bonsall was joined by Club Captain Mike Davis, Vice Captain Peter Ward, and Dieppe specialist Tom Grogan!
On the opening day wind and rain made scoring difficult, but the team managed a 9 under total to lead by 1 shot. They followed this up with a magnificent 13 under on day 2 which gave them a very strong lead.
Very strong winds on day 3 made the course play very difficult, and the 5 under total for the day represented an excellent effort.
The final result was a 4 shot victory for Brighton & Hove against 14 other Sussex Clubs, and also a local team from Dieppe.
COUNTY CALL UP FOR EMMA!

Congratulations to Emma Gill who has earned a call up to the Sussex Girls Team for Counties Week with some great golf over the last few weeks.
Emma has seen her handicap cut from 10 to 7 with a great spell of golf.
Her run started with a brilliant 73 gross at Brighton & Hove at the end of April, which is the third best score ever recorded by a lady golfer in the Club's 122 year history.
Her great play has continued, and she shot a 71 gross in the first round of the Sussex Girls Championship at Singing Hills on Thursday 28th May.
Emma couldn't quite keep up the same hot standard in the afternoon, but with a 78 gross she finished on 149 for the day, which was good enough for 4th place. Emma also won best am scratch for her morning 71.
Congratulations Emma.

Our Team were once again successful, this time in round 5 against Cottesmore. The team of Craig Millyard, Stuart Maplesden, Mike Atkins, Jason Reid & Peter Collins proved too strong for the opposition, and in the end were comfortable winners 3.5 to 1.5.
Over 1000 clubs entered the event, and we are now in the last 64. Well done team.

We had a tough draw in the morning Semi-Finals against the hosts, but some fine play saw us win through to face the Dyke in the final who easily beat West Hove in the other semi.
Our team were awesome in the afternoon final, and we came away comfortable victors against the Dyke by 4.5 points to 0.5.
PHIL BONSALL WINS AT COPTHORNE
Congratulations to Director of Golf Phil Bonsall who was the leading Professional in the recent Captain's Pro Am at Copthorne Golf Club. 35 teams made up of Past Golf Club Captains and Professionals took part on a difficult windy day.
Phil shot a 1 under par round of 70 which was good enough to win the individual event. The Brigthon & Hove team of Phil, Mike Davis, Peter Harrow and Tom Grogan also did well shooting 12 under par, and finishing in 4th place.
